Strategies for Addressing Challenging Behavior

Tulare County participants only

Research has established the effectiveness of using a positive behavioral approach to address the challenging behavior of children with autism and other developmental disabilities.  Participants will learn:
  • An overview of positive behavioral support process
  • A step by step guide for utilizing positive behavioral strategies in the home
  • How to generate positive intervention strategies based on the "function" of the child's behavior
  • Specific examples of poisitve strategies for common challenging behaviors
