Characteristics of Asperger Syndrome/High Functioning Autism & Practical Intervention Strategies Sep 29, 2009
This workshop will provide information on characteristics associated with Asperger Syndrome across the areas of language and communication, social interaction, stereotypic behaviors, organizational skills, and learning characteristics. Many practical strategies will be discussed for addressing specific instructional challenges in each of these areas. A wide range of both preventive techniques and behavioral interventions will be presented which require minimal staff or parent time for implementation, and which have an immediate positive impact for students, teachers, and families.
