Nonviolent Crisis Intervention - Recertification

This is a refresher/recertification training for those who have been certified in the use of NCI de-escalation techniques.  Only those who have been certified (within the previous 2 years) and are seeking a renewal of the NCI certification should participate.  Recertification will be valid for two calendar years from the date of the training.  The refresher course includes a review and practice of the following:
  • The NCI Crisis Development Model
  • Precipitating Factors, Rational Detachment and Integrated Experience
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention methods of self-protection, restraint and guided escort technique
